Step 1: Educating Yourself 

Education is the key, you have to learn as much as you can about Digital Marketing and get a better understanding of the industry before trying to sell your service.

In order to start a digital marketing agency, you should have at least done it yourself in your business. It could be any business. Then you have the experience and the knowledge that it takes to become an expert.

You should have a solid understanding of running email marketing campaigns, what SEO and PPC are, what design and development are, how to create online funnels, how to find clients, outsourcing, pricing, and selling your services.

Social Media Marketing

Social media marketing is the use of various social media platforms and websites to promote a product or service.

Nowadays in digital marketing, social media marketing has become a key component, as more and more people are inclined to it. Nowadays every smartphone has some kind of social media applications, such as facebook, instagram, twitter, ticktok, and the list goes on.

Now companies or business owners can show their ads to the general public on these social media platforms. Most social media platforms have built-in data analytics tools, which enable companies to track the progress, success, and engagement of ad campaigns.

Social media marketing also helps in the management of a marketing campaign, in setting the tone of the company, in spreading the vision and mission of the company.

Website Design

Designing a website and especially having one is also one of the key aspects. All the leads that you collected, like from social media, from email marketing, from youtube, etc. will be directed to your website.

And then you have to close your sales of whatever product or service that you offer. And this is the part where you will need sales funnel, to filter out your leads to a few that takes action. This sales funnel will also save you a ton of physical work.

Email Marketing

Email marketing is the practice of sending a commercial message or content using email to a list of people. This contents or messages can serve to generate traffic, or leads for your business. But you have to collect a list of emails users that have an interest in your niche.

This is a very big topic and there are a lot of things you can do with email marketing. Many marketers use their own set of strategy in email marketing to get more leads or conversions.

There are others who even sell emails in bulk quantity and market places where you can buy them. Almost all the niches that you can think of are included in the market place. You can even let them send emails for your offer.

This is a different topic and we don't advise you to buy these ready made stuffs for you or your business. Building your own qualified list is the best way to go with.

Pay-Per-Click Marketing

Pay-per-click Marketing also written as PPC Marketing is another form of digital marketing in which advertisers pay a fee each time one of their ads is clicked. Basically it's like a way of buying visits to your site, rather than attempting to “earn” those visits organically.

These types of advertisement is mostly done by advance marketers and who have large fund to spend on marketing. They will have a working funnel or system that is converting to cover their large expenses.

You can start doing this only when you know what you are doing and you want fast results as it will be laser targeted.

Search Engine Optimization

Search Engine Optimization (SEO) is the process of maximizing the number of visitors to your website by increasing the quality and quantity of website traffic by increasing the visibility of a website or a web page to users of a web search engine.

SEO refers to the improvement of unpaid results also known as "natural" or "organic" results and excludes direct traffic and the purchase of paid ad placement. SEO is the opposite of PPC.
Optimizing a website may involve editing its content, adding content, increasing the number of backlinks and modifying HTML and associated coding to both increase its relevance to specific keywords and remove barriers to the indexing activities of search engines like Google ,Yahoo etc.

Promoting a site to increase the number of backlinks, or inbound links, is another SEO tactic.

Step 2: Pricing Your Services

Create Pricing Tiers based on services provided. It's important to have three or four different Tiers.

Some Clients may opt for low cost Tiers because they have a low budget some might want the premium Tiers because they want all your services, you never know! If you have only one Tiers, you might lose some clients.

An example is to have; Tier 1 - $999 per month minimum or online course. And make sure you are getting paid. Do NOT Give away services for FREE, Charge a Minimum $500+. 

Tier 2 - $1999
Tier 3 - $4999
This way, you have a basic service and a VIP option. The difference is the amount and type of work you’ll do.

For $999, you could offer basic services. For $1999, you could manage client's social media accounts and offer private coaching plus all the service you offer in Tier $999.

For $4999, you could offer the same services as the $1999 package plus Google and Facebook Ads, paid advertising and private coaching. You could have something like this.

Step 3: Create Business Plan

Come up with your company name, determine what industry or niche, and service offering. You can also think about what type of clients you can help, what services will you offer to your clients, etc.

For example, I accept clients who are coaches, consultants, course seller or infopreneur, high ticket service provider (who provides a service of min $997 value) and digital marketing agencies.

The main services that we offer are handling facebook and instagram ads, funnel building services and coaching about how to do all the above plus coaching about marketing on YouTube. 

Step 4: Approach Businesses

This can be done through cold emailing, social media content, doing direct outreach on Facebook, Instagram, Messenger or linked In, doing digital marketing audits for businesses or using the simple formula I teach my clients/students without spending money on ads.

For the beginning you can do door to door knocking on the internet like in Facebook groups and friendzoned people in our niche.

And remember not to give up on some hundred turn down! The first one is always the hardest and after that it will be a roller coaster if you do it right!

Step 5: Getting Results

Once you land clients and you are getting new business you have to be able to prove to current clients and any future clients that you get results.

This is very important in building your portfolio and then you could collect the testimonials from your clients and use that to get more clients in the future.

Be laser focus and put in 110% percent and do more than what they are expecting. You have nothing to lose here!

Step 6: Build Your Team

Once you get some clients paying at least $1000 per month, building a team is going to be essential. This will automate your business and will free your time. And you could use that free time to plan for the next steps of your business.

You need a team. Find people to create content, edit your video content, copywriters, graphic designers. You can also find freelancers on Fiverr and other freelancing sites. 

And when you have a great team working with you, that's where you start to scale up and make that big figures! You can't do that depending only on yourself. Remember Jack Ma had a team working as one community even from the very start.
